The room
Cloth needs your hands.
Slow fashion needs touch. It needs breath. The weight of a coat, the way it holds its shape when you put it down, whether a colour does anything for you: all of that needs the actual thing in your hands.
So the studio runs by appointment. You get the room to yourself, tea, the whole rail, the fabric still waiting to be cut, and the story of which weaver made what. People usually stay longer than they planned to.
